Bio
I grew up on the tropical island paradise of Jamaica, roughly 500 miles south of Miami in the Caribbean. As a kid growing up, I recall reading computer-related books that my dad kept around the house from his days taking various courses on his way to becomming an accountant. I knew very early, what I wanted to do when I grew up, and spent the rest of my school years with that vision in mind.
My first job as a Software Developer was an intern position at Tangent (Ltd.), a small Software Shop in Kingston Jamaica. At Tangent I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Duncan Soares, who played the role of personal mentor as I embark on the exciting career as a Software Developer.
From Tangent Ltd. I landded a job at Management Control Systems Ltd. (MCS). At MCS, I had the opportunity to continue my work with emerging technologies. During my 4 year stay at MCS, I successfully completed the MCSD certification. I was one of only two developers on the entire island that had obtained the MCSD Certification, Microsoft's Flagship certification for Developers building apps on the Microsoft Platform.
In the Summer of 2004, I traded the warm confines of the tropics for New England when I moved to Connecticut. I've held various software development positions initially working as consultant with Robert Half, before landing my first full time gig at then Byte Interactive (now joined with Story Worldwide, LLC). From Story Worldwide, my next stop was CBS Television stations, where I currently work as an Applications Developer.
Beyond life on the Interwebs I live with my wife and three kids. I return home to Jamaica once annually with my family to see my parents, who still resides there.
